I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree, with honours, in Psychology from Ryerson University in 2015 and I completed my Masters of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University in 2019.
Since 2015, I have been working with numerous healthcare professionals to conduct medical and psychiatric assessments in various clinical populations, but specifically with individual’s who are suffering from chronic pain. Based on my professional experience, I find that individuals suffering from chronic pain also tend to experience a host of other psychosocial symptoms. Such symptoms include, but are not limited to, stress, conflict in interpersonal relationships, depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. Throughout the completion of my Masters of Arts degree, I obtained significant experience working with adults who present with the various noted psychosocial symptoms.
I understand that each individual’s experience is unique and that there are a multitude of factors that may be contributing to their current situation. As a result, I believe in using a holistic approach when working with each client to ensure that all contributing factors are addressed. I aim to develop a positive therapeutic relationship with each client in order to help them identify and understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I recognize the importance of collaborating with my clients throughout the treatment process in a safe and supportive environment in order to assist them in achieving their goals.
